Miguel Pineda Enamel Plate

Miguel Pineda is a Mexican artist who cultivates enameling in his country. He learned the art from the American born artist Maggie Howe and studied with her from 1958 to 1960. He developed different techniques thru experimentation. He has completed special orders to be placed in churches, most notably the decoration of the 36 doors of the famous Shrine of the Virgen of Guadalupe in Mexico City. This plate is a simple design but very beautiful. SOLD THANK YOU
